Festival
For those already coming to the festival the next
payment is due at the end of February. We've already booked our
place at the festival and secured our accommodation, right in the
heart of town. We now need to send them the next payment.

We're looking for more players to join the Gordon
Stags so if you know anyone who might be interested get them to call
Bob or simply come along to one of the games. You all know how much
fun it can be!!

PLAYERS WANTED!!!
Come along and join in the
fun and mateship of Golden Oldies
Rugby
The Gordon Stags are
looking for players to come and join us in the fun of playing Golden
Oldies Rugby. Who knows, you might even be tempted to come to the World
Oldies Rugby Festival with us to be held this time in
Edinburgh
the first week of September. Anyone will vouch for how great that
experience is.
IMPORTANT

fitness levels required

It's not every weekend & attendance is not mandatory
It’s all about running
around the field and having a great time with a beer and a BBQ thrown in.
Games are usually 20 minute thirds and played in the spirit of
"Everyone goes home in one piece" with unlimited substitutions -
you can play for 5 or 10 minutes and then substitute off for some rest and
recovery if needed.
We play approximately
every 2 weeks from the last weekend in March to Mid September and, whilst
we like to ensure we get a full team to as many games as possible,
attendance is not mandatory. After all, we’ve all got lives, and wives,
that need attending to.

Committee
Members Wanted
Things have been moving pretty quickly here in the
committee room with organising the upcoming festival tour and this
years games. We've also had a couple of spots come open so we're
looking for some Stags who'd like to join the committee and play a
vital role in making the Gordon Stags a success. The types of
activities we do are;
- Fund raising for the Stags
- Organising Games, Tours & Festivals
- Organising Social events
- Managing equipment and ground setup
- Representing the Stags at away games and
functions
Generally we meet about once a month during the
Rugby season for about an hour and as the old adage says "Many hands
make light work" so if you've got a little time to spare and are
interested in helping give Bob a call.
Super 14 Tipping
Competition
The Super 14 competition is underway and so is the
tipping comp. It's not too late to join just go to
www.investectippingchallenge.com and type in the Pool code:
dozyteam for the Pool name: Gordon Stags. Once you've registered
you should automatically become a member of the Gordon Stags pool.
For those coming in late default points are
allocated base on home teams, most of which won last week.
